Lion’s head hike

Lion’s head is a peak next to Table mountain, on a Saturday (7th of September) we decided to do the walk and climb to the top. Just so we are clear, I have never understood why it is called Lion’s Head but apparently it does look like it from a certain perspective – still very sceptical about it.

Victoria had done the walk before but it was a first for me. Not a long walk – about 45min each way –  but steep and some funny climbing at the end. Amazing 360 view of Capetown during the walk, I definitely recommend it!

September is a great time to do hikes in Capetown because with Spring starting all the flowers start to come out. Weather is not too hot either which is nice.

I am going to create short articles like this one to list the walks and then when friends come over they decide what they fancy 🙂
